Attention all chocolate lovers! M&M’s announced some very exciting news. Not one, but two brand new products are being introduced to the chocolate brand’s iconic lineup, and we can’t wait to try them.
Get ready for M&M’s Chocolate Bars and M&M’s Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies. Though we’re scratching our heads as to how M&M’s has never before had a Nutella-flavored anything in their repertoire of delicious, chocolate goodies — and, moreover, how they’ve never in the history of the company offered chocolate bars. But we’re just happy it’s finally happened!
The new hazelnut spread M&M’s will feature, “a hazelnut spread center, covered in delicious milk chocolate, offering a delectable and trend-forward combination of chocolate and hazelnut flavors in every bite-sized piece.”
Meanwhile, the indulgent new M&M’s chocolate bars will be available starting in December 2018 and will consist of “smooth milk chocolate with whole M&M’s Minis visible throughout a large, molded and shareable bar format,” according to a press release.
The flavors? Peanut, milk chocolate, crispy, almond and crispy mint.
“The industry is changing and consumer tastes are evolving,” said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, senior brand director, M&M’S Brand, in the release. “We’re continuing to recognize and anticipate demand. We’re excited to debut M&M’S Chocolate Bars and know that our M&M’S fans and chocolate bar lovers alike will appreciate the delicious taste that comes from our rich and creamy chocolate.”
These new product launches come after the recent announcement of the results of M&M’s “Flavor Vote” Campaign, in which Crunchy Mint beat out Crunchy Espresso and Crunchy Raspberry as the flavor to join the M&M’s lineup (while supplies last). The Crunchy Mint M&M’s flavor is made with dark chocolate, surrounded by a colorful crispy shell and a center of cocoa rice crisp.
As for the ever popular fall flavor of pumpkin spice, not to worry. M&M’s has also released seasonal editions of their candies in White Pumpkin Pie, Ghoul’s Mix and White Candy Corn flavors.
